National Ceramic Art Training Base for Youth, also known as ¡°China National Ceramic Art Center¡±, was established for public-benefit by China National Ministry of Education in 2001. The Base occupies 53 acres land of a historic, beautiful, and convenient downtown site in Jingdezhen. It is an educational and recreational place dedicated to provide cultural and hand-on practice experience of ceramics for students, potters, and tourists.
The Base offers a full set of ceramic practice programs, such as clay processing, throwing, sculpturing, painting, and firing. Along with its well-equipped accessory of dinning-hall, accommodation building, auditorium, indoors activity center, shopping center, and outdoor sports activities including driving-range golf, fishing, paint-ball etc., it becomes an ideal place for education, conference, and recreation.
Furthermore, Jingdezhen lies on the boundary of three provinces and is located at the center of a 2-hour-driving-range-circle of the boundary of three provinces and is located at the center of a 2-hour-driving-range-circle of many world-class tourism sites in addition to its own.Among them, the Lu Mountain, Yellow Mountain, and Sanqing Mountain are awarded by UN as ¡°Inheritance of the World¡±. The neighboring Yaoli,Wuyuan, and Yixian counties aretouching-heart beautiful for their well-kept Hui-style ancient architecture and poetic village life. And other famous interesting places within the circle include Dragon & Tiger Mountain, Jiuhua Mountain, and Thousand-Island-Lake etc.
